It all started in 2006! The vision of Crossing Place Church — the original name of our church — was initially birthed inside Shane and Bliss Harris as they planted our church in 2006. They envisioned a church that was family -- modeling what Jesus told us to do -- love God and love people.
They saw a church impact a community through Holy Spirit encounters and the supernatural hand of God. From 2006-2011, we met in the Morgan City Auditorium before relocating to our current location.
For a decade, the Hussey's led our church to many firsts. During this time, our church had a large community footprint as we lasered into loving people. Den's charisma and personality deeply connected with our community as well as Bonnie's heart and calming presence to see gold in everyone. The Hussey's also spent a lot of time mentoring leaders within the church and helping navigate many shifts at the church level.
The Marcantonio's became our pastors in March 2021, after serving with us since 2015. They have led us into a journey of family, as we've embarked on doing the things families do. This, as well as, a heart of discipleship came out of some pretty transformative times for each of them, in 2020, and through some personal cirumstances the last couple of years. Since 2021, there's been a deep emphasis on identity in Christ, prayer and eating together.
