Father, I thank You that death no longer has the final word.
Because of Jesus, I am free from the fear of death.
You have given me a greater hope—
that my body, though fragile and fading,
will one day be transformed to be like Christ’s glorious body.
You have swallowed up death in victory!
So I will not fear what is passing away.
I fix my eyes on what is eternal, not what is seen.
Even though my outer self-wastes away,
my inner self is being renewed day by day.
Lord, help me to live this life with eternity in mind.
Let me not waste my life chasing pleasure, power, or comfort.
Teach me to lay down my desires for the sake of the Gospel.
I want to be steadfast—immovable—abounding in Your work,
knowing that my labor is not in vain.
Jesus, mark me with the marks of Your life.
Let me be formed into Your image,
bearing the cross now so that I may share in Your resurrection later.
You are my hope, my Savior, and my reward.
Thank You that my life is not bound to this earth.
My citizenship is in heaven,
and I eagerly await the day when You make all things new.
Until then, strengthen me to live with boldness,
with love, and with the assurance that eternity is real—
and You are worth everything.
Amen.
